Hi, I’m Pavel Malaník and I approach weddings with both heart and mind. As a documentary wedding photographer I prefer real moments over staged setups — I look for genuine laughter, the tears of moved parents, or the fleeting glance between newlyweds that words can’t describe. I love photographing the whole day: from preparations through the ceremony to the evening party — that way a complete story emerges which you can relive again and again through the photos. My approach is simple: be unobtrusive, prepared, and open to improvisation. I carry two professional DSLR cameras at all times so I can react quickly to what’s happening without interrupting the flow of the wedding. I try to intervene as little as possible; where guidance helps, I give gentle direction so portraits feel natural rather than artificial. I don’t believe in long posing — I photograph people in motion and let them be themselves. Why choose me? Above all because I focus on authenticity and a calm, friendly attitude. I know how to handle unexpected situations and how to preserve the atmosphere without unnecessary stress. Pre-wedding communication is important to me — I enjoy talking about your ideas, places you love, and the types of images you’d like to display at home. I primarily work in the Zlín and Luhačovice regions, but I’m happy to travel wherever your wedding takes place. Besides weddings, I also photograph couples and families for pre-wedding or lifestyle sessions if you want natural-style portraits before or after the big day.
