I am Richard Matiašek — a wedding photographer from Ústí nad Labem with experience since 1999 and professional practice from 2008. I see wedding photography as the art of telling the day's story: my work documents genuine emotions and atmosphere through a documentary (reportage) approach, complemented by carefully chosen artistic images. My background as a photojournalist for newspapers and many years documenting public events have given me the ability to be unobtrusive, quick to react, and always present where the key moments unfold. Why choose me for your wedding photography? I specialize in wedding images that show naturalness and ease — both formal portraits of the newlyweds and spontaneous candids of guests. I work with professional equipment and modern editing tools, so the result is technically excellent and emotionally strong images. I photograph across the Czech Republic, always focusing on a reportage style with an artistic touch so that the photographs convey the place, the mood and the relationships. How does our collaboration work? We start with a personal or phone consultation to clarify your expectations, the flow of the day and the important moments you want documented. On the wedding day I work discreetly and professionally — aiming to capture the true atmosphere without unnecessarily interrupting the event. After the wedding I perform careful selection and editing so you receive clean, emotive and consistent wedding photographs. In addition to full wedding reportage, I offer a photo booth as a popular wedding add-on that gives guests an immediate memento.
