I'm Maru from Kousky duší, and wedding photography is more than a job to me — it's a collection of small stories full of emotion that I want to capture so you can return to them anytime. As a wedding photographer I mainly work in Brno, South Moravia, the Beskydy mountains and Vysočina, but I'm happy to travel anywhere in the Czech Republic to document your day. My approach: naturalness and gentle documentary. On the wedding day I look for authentic moments — quiet touches, genuine smiles, flashes of joy and the silent pauses between them. You don't need forced poses or artificial "smiles for the camera." I strive to be unobtrusive, to observe and to step in only when it helps create a true, meaningful image. That approach creates wedding photographs that feel timeless and bring you back to the emotions of that day. How I work: first we meet — a pre-wedding meeting and a pre-wedding shoot are important to me. I want to get to know you, understand what matters to you, and show you that it's possible to feel at ease in front of the lens. On the wedding day I aim to create a cohesive reportage from preparations through the ceremony to the evening party — always with respect for every moment. I work mostly with natural light, I love the soft glow of sunset, and I often choose outdoor locations that add atmosphere to the images.
