Capturing life's moments — that is the core of my work as a wedding photographer based in Kobylisy. I'm Erik Strakota, and I approach weddings with an emphasis on naturalness, authenticity and a reportage approach. I build my style on the belief that the most beautiful images arise when the couple, family and guests forget the camera and live their day without posing or pressure. I combine experience in documentary-style wedding photography with sensitive direction for portrait moments so that the final gallery tells the true story of your day — from preparations and the ceremony to the evening atmosphere. My approach is based on respect for the flow of the wedding and on collaboration: we will meet in advance (a pre-wedding meeting), align expectations and find the style that suits you. How I work: first I listen to your ideas and priorities. On the wedding day I arrive equipped with professional gear and with the aim of interfering as little as possible with the natural course of events. I document key moments in a reportage manner, and when it's time for the newlyweds' portraits I create a relaxed atmosphere where natural, emotive pictures can emerge. After the wedding we review the selection together and I give each image careful retouching so that every photograph faithfully conveys the mood and colors of your day. My work has been recognized at international competitions and exhibited — proof of the quality and professionalism I bring to every assignment. I am available for weddings throughout the Czech Republic, operating from Kobylisy and Prague.
