I’m Barbora (Bára) Horká and wedding photography is one of my great passions. I work in Kralupy nad Vltavou, Nelahozeves and in Prague and the surrounding area, and I approach every wedding as a unique story that deserves to be told with sensitivity and honesty. As a wedding photographer I favour a reportage and lifestyle approach — I look for natural moments, subtle emotions and beautiful light that together create an authentic record of your day. My style is unobtrusive and empathetic. I strive for guests and newlyweds to forget the presence of the camera so that instead of stiff poses you get spontaneous images full of laughter, whispers and small gestures. This way you receive wedding photographs that don’t need artificial staging — they speak for themselves and return the atmosphere exactly as you experienced it. Working with me is built on trust and a personal approach. Before the wedding I like to talk about your ideas, places that mean something to you and the flow of the day you are planning. Where appropriate, I suggest locations with flattering light — I especially love the golden hour at sunset, which gives images a magical, warm atmosphere. During the day I aim to be an unobtrusive documenter and a gentle support when a bit of guidance is helpful for the portrait part, so everything still feels natural. As a mother of two, I’m used to working with emotions and little guests and I know how to create a relaxed atmosphere so that the photo session becomes an enjoyable part of the day rather than a burden. Besides weddings I also photograph families and maternity sessions, which sharpens my eye for detail and for the human story behind every image.
